Chadbourne, Paul Ansel

clergyman, college president, author, was born Oct. 21, 1823, in North Berwick, Maine.

He was a congregational clergyman, who was president of Williams college in 1872- 81, and was the author of Relations of Natural History to Intellect, Taste, Wealth, and Religion; Natural Theology; Instinct in Animals and Men; Strength of Men and Stability of Nations; The Hope of the Righteous; and The Public Services of the State of New York. He died Feb. 23, 1883, in New York city.
