Carruth, William Herbert

educator, author, poet, was born in 1859 in Ossawatomie, Kan. He is a joint author of the History of Municipal Suffrage in Kansas, and co-editor of Sunflowers.

CARRUTHERS, WILLIAM ALEXAN- DER, physician, author, was born in 1800 in Virginia. He was a physician of Savannah who wrote a number of romances now quite forgotten. He was the author of The Kentuckian in New York; The Cavaliers of Virginia; Knights of the Horse Shoe; and Life of Charles Caldwell. He died about 1850 in Savannah, Ga.
