Anderson, David
soldier, manufacturer, state senator, was born Nov. 26, 1825, in Clarendon, N. Y. He moved to Michigan in 1854, and settled in the town of Madison. In 1865 he removed to the town of Columbia, where he has held various offices of trust in his township. In 1862 he joined the nineteenth Michigan infantry, received the commission of first lieutenant, and in the same year was promoted to the rank of captain. In 1864 he was commissioned as major, and at the close of the war received a colonel's commission. During 1873-74 he served with distinction as a member of the Michigan state senate.
