Allen, Malaciah
soldier, farmer, public official, born April 1, 1841, in Georgia. After graduating from Madison college, Miss., he taught school for awhile; he then became a soldier in the Tennessee division of the army; he served four years and held the position of captain at the close of the war. He was in every battle fought by the army of the Tennessee, and was wounded three times. After the war he engaged in farming; and since 1887 has been clerk of the circuit court of Madison county, Miss.
